Often traded on stock exchanges, Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are a type of investment fund and exchange-traded product. They share similarities with mutual funds but are traded like individual stocks. The investments they contain can vary, encompassing stocks, commodities, or bonds, and they may offer U.S. only or international holdings.
