Fractional investing

This refers to the method of purchasing less than one whole share of a stock, bond, or other asset. It is based on a dollar amount, not the number of shares, allowing investors to own a fraction, a whole, or more than one share. This approach makes it possible for individuals to invest in high-priced shares they might not otherwise afford. Notably, fractional shares can still earn dividends.
