Solid oxide electrolyzer cell

This type of fuel cell, known as a Solid oxide electrolyzer cell (SOEC), operates in regenerative mode to perform the electrolysis of water. It employs a solid oxide or ceramic electrolyte to generate hydrogen gas and oxygen. The operating temperatures for this cell range between 500 and 900 °C, making it a high-temperature electrolysis system.
