OneWeb satellite constellation

The OneWeb satellite constellation is a project designed to provide high-speed broadband internet to rural and isolated areas through a network of small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). It aims to differentiate itself by combining geostationary (GEO) and LEO satellites to deliver global connectivity, with an initial plan to deploy 648 satellites, of which 544 have been launched as of January 2023. This initiative primarily benefits underserved regions and communities lacking reliable internet access.
