Unraid

Operating system developed by Lime Technology, Inc., Unraid is a proprietary Linux-based solution. It is primarily designed for home servers, serving as a network-attached storage device, application server, media server, and a virtualization host. Unraid's hardware-agnostic nature allows it to transform nearly any 64-bit capable system into a network-attached storage (NAS) device. The initial release was on August 26, 2005.
