microneedles

Microneedles are tiny needles, usually a few hundred microns in diameter and up to 1000 microns long, that are used to deliver medicines through the skin. They are often grouped together in a patch-like arrangement and are similar to transdermal patches more than traditional hypodermic needles. When pressed into the skin, the needles create microscopic pores that allow medicine to enter the body.
