vaginismus

A medical condition characterized by involuntary muscle spasms in the pelvic floor muscles, making penetration painful or impossible. Vaginismus can be associated with anxiety or fear of penetration, but it can also occur without any clear psychological cause, and it is often treated through a combination of education, counseling, and physical therapy.
