Video tolling

A form of electronic toll collection that uses video or still images of a vehicle's license plate to identify vehicles that need to pay a road toll. This system is utilized when a vehicle passes through a toll-collection facility without paying the toll with cash or an electronic pass, such as E-ZPass, and the toll is subsequently billed to the vehicle's registered owner. Video tolling is particularly beneficial for drivers who do not have an electronic toll pass and for reducing congestion at toll booths.
