De Quervain syndrome

A medical condition affecting the tendons on the thumb side of the wrist, causing pain and tenderness, especially during wrist movements, grasping, or making a fist. This condition is often a result of repetitive hand or wrist movements, leading to inflammation and discomfort at the base of the thumb, which can extend into the lower arm. De Quervain syndrome primarily affects individuals who engage in activities that involve repetitive wrist and thumb motions, such as certain sports, manual labor, or frequent use of handheld devices.
