Pearl millet

Known as a robust annual grass, pearl millet typically grows between 1.2–3.5 meters tall. It is a staple cereal in certain regions, particularly in India and parts of West and Southern Africa, including Senegal and Namibia. The plant's stems can reach diameters of 1–3 cm or more. Depending on factors such as spacing, management, and the specific cultivar, the plant can tiller from a few to as many as 20 culms.
