Reforestation

It refers to the act of replanting or regenerating forest areas that have been depleted. This process can occur naturally or be facilitated by humans, often with the aim of absorbing pollution, rebuilding natural habitats and ecosystems, and mitigating global warming. Forests, through this process, play a vital role in the biosequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Additionally, these regenerated areas can be harvested for resources, including timber and non-timber forest products.
