One pertains to the safety of specific drugs or chemicals for lactating mothers, with resources like the LactMed® database providing valuable information. The other relates to general safety practices during breastfeeding, such as keeping the mother and baby together, breastfeeding on demand, and ensuring the baby is fed eight or more times within 24 hours from birth.
