SGLT2 inhibitor

These are a class of drugs that prevent the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, thus helping to regulate blood sugar levels. They work by inhibiting sodium-glucose transport proteins in the nephron, commonly referred to as gliflozins. They are often prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes.
