Tranexamic acid

Synthetic derivative of lysine used as an antifibrinolytic agent to treat and prevent major bleeding. It works by inhibiting the breakdown of fibrin clots, thereby reducing bleeding, and is approximately 10 times more potent than aminocaproic acid. Tranexamic acid is primarily used by medical professionals to manage bleeding in surgical and trauma settings.
