Top SEO Conferences You Can't Miss in 2025
SEO is important to every business. And ranking in Google is becoming more complex.
Whether you’re creating content for clients or trying to grow your own agency, SEO conferences allow you to learn from the best in the business.
Advantages of SEO Conferences
The core principles of SEO remain the same, but recent changes in Google’s algorithms mean SEOs have new challenges ahead of them. New developments like AI SEO tools and Google Lens are also impacting content strategy for many businesses.
SEO conferences are a brilliant way of hearing from leading experts about the latest developments. Seeking out the right conference for you will also allow you to network with fellow industry professionals.
From Chiang Mai to Brighton, and with some virtual options too, there are plenty of upcoming SEO conferences that should be on your radar. I’ve put together a list of some of the key events in 2025.
Upcoming In-Person SEO Conferences 2025
SEOktoberfest G50 Summit
Unlike most of the conferences on this list, SEOktoberfest is by invitation only. But you can submit an application for a ticket, with the outcome voted on by "Summit Envoys".
Taking place in Stanglwirt, Austria from September 21-26, it's easily the smallest and most exclusive event on the list. Running since 2008, it is split into 25 experts and 30 attendees.
An expert ticket costs €4,000 ($4,634), while regular attendees pay €6,500 ($7,530). Conference "newbies" are charged €7,000 ($8,110).
This is all-inclusive, including 4 nights in a suite. There's also free childcare for families.
SMX Advanced Europe
You've missed the Boston edition of SMX Advanced, which was held in June. Nick Eubanks, VP of Owned Media at Semrush, featured on a stacked list of speakers.
But if you're based in Europe, or willing to travel, there's another event quite soon. SMX Advanced Europe will be held in Berlin from September 30 - October 1.
There will be a workshop on technical SEO in an AI world, followed by talks and discussions in separate SEO and PPC tracks.
Speakers include Ginny Marvin, the Ads Product Liaison at Google. Tickets are available for €1,695 ($1,964).

WTSFest is hosted by Women in Tech SEO. Starting out in 2019 as an online community for female SEO specialists, the group’s in-person conference (first held in 2020) has become a major event.
The flagship conference in London takes place each February. But there are still global events you can catch in 2025.
For those in the US, there’s a one-day event on October 7 in Philadelphia. 10 speakers will analyze the state of the SEO industry, with tips on future-proofing, growth strategies, and career development.
Tickets cost $499. Prices may increase closer to the event.
You can also attend WTSFest events in Melbourne on November 27, and back in London on Februray 5, 2026.

The main event in Brighton will be the second flagship conference of the year, with the first held in April. Last year, Targeted SEO attended, describing it as an “incredible experience”.

Sydney SEO Conference
You’ve missed out on the 2025 Sydney SEO conference. But dates have already been confirmed for next year.
Billed as the largest SEO and growth event in Australia, this will be the 7th edition of the conference. It will take place from March 19-20, 2026 in Sydney.

Upcoming Virtual SEO Conferences
You can learn a lot about SEO online. For instance, we’ve got a mega-list of 130 SEO statistics, while Semrush has a comprehensive suite of SEO tools.
And for many SEO specialists, virtual conferences present a more practical and budget-friendly option. Lots of online-only events still offer great speakers and a chance to learn about the latest developments in the field. Here’s a selection of what’s coming up in 2025.
SEOST Digital Marketing Conference
Run by SEO Spring Training, the SEOST Digital Marketing Conference takes place from August 26-29. It's 100% online.

Brighton SEO is an in-person conference, but it caters for those unable to physically attend. Once the conference is over, all of the talk recordings are available to buy.
For instance, video recordings are already available from the April 2025 conference. The bundle is available for approximately $200.
NESS
The News and Editorial SEO Summit is dedicated specifically to SEO for news publishers. And it attracts some of the biggest names in SEO; Rand Fishkin is a former speaker.
This year, AI big-hitter Marie Haynes will be in attendance. That's timely, with AI Overview Optimization and AI Agents for SEO among the agenda topics.
The conference will be held fully online from October 21-22. Tickets cost $299.
SMX Next
SMX Next is run by Search Engine Land, which also hosts the Advanced conference in Boston and Berlin. But this event is entirely online.

Ahead of the main virtual conference, there are also online masterclasses being held in August.

SEO Square recently held its main 2025 event. But it's one to look out for in the future, given that it is entirely online and completely free.
The conference attracts more than 3,000 virtual attendees. And even though this year's event is done, you can register online to watch all of the content.
Speakers included the VP of Marketing at SparkToro and the Principal Consultant & Global Program Manager at LinkedIn.
