The core principles of SEO remain the same, but recent changes in Google’s algorithms mean SEOs have new challenges ahead of them. New developments like AI SEO tools and Google Lens are also impacting content strategy for many businesses.
SEO conferences are a brilliant way of hearing from leading experts about the latest developments. Seeking out the right conference for you will also allow you to network with fellow industry professionals.
From Chiang Mai to Munich, there are plenty of other upcoming SEO conferences that should be on your radar too. I’ve put together a list of some of the key events in 2024 and 2025.
Upcoming SEO Conferences 2024-25
SEOCon
SEOCon might take some last-minute logistical planning for those not already based in Bali. The Indonesian island is the picturesque setting for one of the last major SEO conferences of 2024, taking place from December 5-6.
Pre-conference workshops will run on December 4, with topics including link building and improving content for generative search (GEO). The conference will then get underway the following day.
For an idea of what to expect, the keynote address from 2022 is available on YouTube. This year, AI SEO tools are a major theme of the talks.

Women in Tech SEO Festival (WTSFest)
Moving into 2025, Women in Tech SEO is hosting WTSFest. Starting out in 2019 as an online community for female SEO specialists, the group’s in-person conference (first held in 2020) has become a major event.
You’ll find a variety of dates for WTSFest because it’s hosting multiple events in different countries. But the flagship conference in London will be held from February 19-20, 2025.
A day of workshops is followed by a day of talks from expert speakers. They’ll be exploring the themes of “analyze”, “advance”, “innovate” and “empower”.

This will be the first time the conference has spanned two days. Held at the Barbican Centre, tickets for the full event cost £499 (approximately $630) plus VAT.
WTSFest will also come to Portland on April 3rd and Berlin on June 13. Philadelphia and Melbourne dates for October and November are set to be confirmed.
SEO Mastery Summit
The SEO Mastery Summit will take place from March 10-14, 2025. Spanning five days, it is one of the longer SEO conferences on the calendar.
Held in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam, the SEO Mastery Summit sold out in 2023 and 2024. This will be the third edition.

An optional “mastermind” session will be held on March 10, before four main event days. These will comprise workshops, topic-focused sessions, and main stage talks.
Tickets are available for $650 with a “150OFF” code. The price is set to increase from December 2.
SMX Munich
The Search Marketing Expo (SMX) is a convention for PPC and SEO professionals. It’s held in the International Conference Center in Munich from March 18-19.
Speakers in 2025 include Rand Fishkin, the founder of SparkToro, and Helen Pollitt, head of SEO at Getty Images. All keynote addresses (and a pub quiz!) are held in English.
Workshops will be held the day before the conference, with topics including technical SEO and international SEO. The main event then consists of up to 7 parallel tracks including SEO, PPC, Content, Analytics and Data, and UX.
SMX Munich has been running since 2008. SMX Paris (March 25-26) and SMX Advanced (September) will also run in 2025.
BrightonSEO
Brighton, UK is home to BrightonSEO. It’s marketed as the world’s largest conference, drawing over 5000 attendees.
Thousands of people will flock to the seaside location from April 10-11, 2025.
The conference has been such a hit that the “BrightonSEO” brand has branched out to the United States. The San Diego edition just came to an end and will take place again next September.
The main event in Brighton already has 45 speakers lined up. Last year, Targeted SEO attended the conference, describing it as an “incredible experience”.

Google algorithm updates were among the topics at the last edition of BrightonSEO.
Thousands of free single-day tickets to the April 2025 conference will be given away in a ballot. This will run from December 4-6, 2024.
You can also buy a two-day pass for £275 (around $350) plus VAT. A two-day pass plus a BrightonSEO workshop costs £560 (~$700) plus VAT.
Nordic SEO Summit
One of the brand new conferences on the list, the Nordic SEO Summit will be held for the first time in Helsinki on May 22, 2025.
A wide range of talks will cover technical SEO, E-commerce SEO, and the emerging role of AI. All talks will be in English.
Tickets usually cost €499 (around $525). There’s currently a €100 Black Friday discount on offer.
International Search Summit
The International Search Summit will be held on November 13, 2025, at the World Trade Center in Barcelona.
It’s a specialized conference focused squarely on international SEO. At the previous edition, Carolyn Shelby of Yoast was among the speakers, presenting on “hreflang” HTML tags.
The International Search Summit is a specialist conference.
The next event is still quite a long way in the future, and the agenda hasn’t been released yet. That’s expected in the New Year — and in the meantime, a discounted price is available.
Until December 31, 2024, tickets cost €145 (approximately $150) per person. Group rates offer further discounts.
An all-access ticket to the whole conference, an international SEO workshop, and pre and post-event parties costs €795 (around $835). Catering and refreshments are included.
Tech SEO Connect
Tech SEO Connect is a specialist technical SEO conference. Held in the Triangle area of North Carolina, it runs from December 4-5, 2025.
This differs from a lot of other SEO conferences on the list. It describes itself as “the conference made for Technical SEOs by Technical SEOs”, with a total focus on back-end search engine optimization techniques.
Tickets range from $499-$999. VIP ticket holders can access a special lounge and welcome dinner.
Other SEO Conferences To Watch Out For
Chiang Mai SEO Conference
The Chiang Mai SEO Conference in Thailand was held between November 18-22 this year, so you’ve just missed it. But it’s certainly one to look out for in 2025.
This year’s event involved industry experts such as Tim Soulo, the Chief Marketing Officer at Ahrefs, and Stan Leloup, the YouTuber behind Marketing Mania (483k subscribers).
SEonthebeach
SEonthebeach held its 11th edition last June. The “beachworking” event took place in Murcia, Spain.
SEonthebeach is unique among SEO conferences.
The 12th edition has been pencilled in for June 2025. The exact location and date will be confirmed in due course.
MozCon
Held in Seattle from June 3-4 in 2024, I expect MozCon to be at a similar time in 2025. But the 2023 edition was held in August, so dates are not set in stone.

Ahrefs Evolve
The Ahrefs Evolve SEO conference was held in Singapore from October 24-25, 2024. The event is scheduled to take place in 2025, with details to be confirmed.
The latest event saw 18 speakers and more than 500 digital marketing enthusiasts attend. Along with some in-house Ahrefs talent, presenters included Andy Chadwick, co-founder of keyword research tool Keyword Insights.
