As of September 2024, TikTok receives around 2.5 billion visits each month.
Unsurprisingly, the majority of these (over 70%) come from mobile devices.
In terms of unique visitors, TikTok sees just under 1 billion per month.
The average TikTok visitor views 4.46 pages per visit and spends approximately 8 minutes and 18 seconds on the platform.
TikTok has a bounce rate of 55.46%.
The majority (72.06%) of TikTok traffic is direct. In contrast, just 21.87% of visits come from organic searches.

As of the latest data (July 2024), the majority of TikTok users are male (54.8%). And 45.2% are female.
Split by age, the single largest group of TikTok users is male 25-34 year-olds (19.1%).
On the other end of the spectrum, male and female 55+ year-olds are the smallest groups (3.7% each).

Around 16.75% of all TikTok visits come from the US. That’s almost 3x more visits from the US than any other nation.

Looking at the average TikTok sessions per user, Israel currently tops the list with 450.1 per month.
That’s closely followed by Chile with 397.3 per month.

Most Popular TikTok Creators
Looking at TikTok creator ages, figures are skewed towards a younger demographic.
Young adults (18-24 years) make up over half of the creators (52.83%). While under 18s make up a comparatively low 27.47%.

Charli D’Amelio and MrBeast are the only other creators with upwards of 100 million followers at the time of writing. At 20, Charli D’Amelio is also the youngest creator to crack the top 10.
Zach King (34) is one of just 2 top 10 creators aged 30 or above.
In total, 10 of the top 15 are at least partially American.

Each of the top seven TikTok earners are under 30 years old. And the average age is just 23 years old.

Conclusion
It’s fair to say that TikTok’s global appeal has permeated several age groups and regions.
Nonetheless, there is a clear preference among younger users. And creators are similarly young.
The only question is whether this trend will persist as TikTok continues to gain users in the coming years.
