13 SEO Newsletters I Subscribe To (& Recommend)

by Claire Broadley
Last Updated: March 11, 2025

Keeping up with SEO in the last 2 years has been a part-time job in itself. If algorithm updates aren’t enough to keep you busy, new challenges from AI search are looming too.

I combed my inbox for the SEO newsletters I’ve subscribed to for months (or years). They bring together all the latest updates and opinions, and a few contain a dose of humor for good measure.

Most importantly, all of these newsletters run by world-leading experts in search engine optimization, so there’s no better way to level up your skills and knowledge.

The SEOFOMO newsletter is an essential read that rounds up the best articles about SEO over the past 7 days, as voted for on SEOFOMO News. It’s packed with information and recaps all the articles you likely missed when they were shared on social media.

I’ve worked with several content marketing teams in the last few years. Pretty much everyone was subscribed to SEOFOMO, and its contents would be the trigger for discussions every week without fail.

Each massive weekly email also includes:

The Exploding Topics newsletter is a little different from the other SEO newsletters I’ve shared. This one is a weekly roundup of the latest topics and products that you can mine for content ideas.

Each email contains a complete write-up about the trending topic and the wider context. You can’t always find these topics from traditional keyword research tools.

Exploding Topics Pro newsletter

The weekly Exploding Topics email is super popular. It has grown from 104,000 subscribers in 2024 to reach a subscriber count of 155,000 in early 2025.

The screenshot I shared above is from the Pro version of the newsletter. It’s available with any paid subscription. Plans start at $39 per month for the Entrepreneur plan. You can try the Pro newsletter and subscription for just $1.
