Cross-origin resource sharing

It is a mechanism that enables many resources (e.g., fonts, JavaScript, etc.) on a web page to be requested from another domain outside the domain from which the resource originated. It's a way to circumvent the same-origin policy, which is a significant security measure that restricts how a document or script loaded from one origin can interact with a resource from another origin.
