Ojibwe language

Belonging to the Algonquian language family, this indigenous North American language is known by several names including Ojibwa, Ojibway, Otchipwe, Ojibwemowin, and Anishinaabemowin. It is characterized by a series of dialects, each with local names and often unique writing systems. Primarily spoken by the Ojibwe people, it has around 50,000 native speakers as per censuses from 1990 to 2016, and is predominantly used in Canada and the United States.
