South Florida Mom Turns Birthday Party Stress into Two Successful Businesses
Tiffany Morris always wanted to own a business of her own. But it wasn't until Morris had children that her best business inspiration struck: done-for-you birthday parties that let kids have fun while parents relax.
As the founder of Luxe Gather, Morris and her husband bring other parents a stress-free birthday party experience, complete with multiple options to suit kids' different interests.
Professional-Grade Parties
The Luxe Gather model is simple, but brilliant: a complete birthday party experience arrives at your house—but doesn't come inside. Instead, the birthday party goes outside and into a custom Luxe bus or trailer. Party professionals oversee the fun, then drive away at the end. There's no setup or cleanup required of parents.
"At the time we launched the business, our daughter was really young. We were throwing her birthday parties and realized there was a need for kids' experiences that took things up a notch from just a regular birthday," said Morris.
Morris knows first hand how devoted caregivers often want to give their children a unique birthday party experience every year. But juggling the financial, time, and organizational demands of an annual bash can be tricky.
But when the party comes to you, it's a lot easier.
"Parties are usually two hours long, and we keep the kids entertained throughout that time," said Morris. "A lot of times, the parents are inside hanging out with their friends while the kids are having fun. The fact this is an all-inclusive experience means that parents don't have to do anything—they can sit back and relax while the kids have a good time."
Luxe offers two types of parties: spa days and video game experiences. Spa parties take place inside of a custom, pink-adorned bus, while the video game action happens in a fully outfitted gaming trailer.
"During a spa party, we get the kids into their little spa robes and headbands and do spa-themed activities. They'll get their nails done and get a cute little hairstyle, and then we end with a fashion show," said Morris. "And the game truck is great for both kids and adults."
Intentional Advertising
While Luxe was Morris' first foray into being a business owner, she was already an experienced marketer. This made the process of launching and promoting her business easier.
"I worked in marketing for a long time and I learned a lot about business, and how to understand a customer's needs," said Morris. "When I launched the Luxe Gather spa bus, I really wanted to focus on understanding our target audience: primarily moms and moms of girls between the ages of five and 10."
Morris started her research by examining the reviews parents left on other spa buses in different areas.
"I looked at what parents were saying, what challenges they were having, and what they liked about the experience," said Morris. "I did a lot of competitor research and voice of the customer research to really understand our audience."

Morris also paid attention to where her target customers—moms—were conducting their own research for birthday party inspiration and experiences. The answer was Facebook, so Morris focused her initial attention on good messaging, strong search engine optimization (SEO), Google ads, and Meta platforms.
"Google Ads has been really helpful to us as well as Facebook and Instagram," said Morris. "Google Ads is where we generate most of our bookings. People are really intentional, and they're ready to buy because they're planning their child's birthday party a few weeks out."
In fact, Morris' social posts and ads took off so well that she began to get leads outside of her service area.
"At first we focused on 'spa bus for kids'. We're based in south Florida, but people were calling us from New York, California, Michigan, and Washington, D.C. asking if we were there! I had to quickly update the website to say 'south Florida spa bus for kids,'" said Morris. "We see that demand and we'd love to put another unit in different markets, but first we need to fully streamline operations here. That's the challenge that I'm focused on right now."
And she's all in on making that future growth happen. Morris left her corporate job in 2025 to focus fully on Luxe Gather, and has since brought on four party hosts and two drivers.
Support for Party Pros
But expanding Luxe Gather into different states isn't Morris' only business plan. She's already launched her second venture: Luxe Party Pro, an event directory for unique kids' party experiences. And she's continuing to think about how she can further support the companies who list their offerings in her directory.
"Parties are a very niche business. As a small business owner myself, I see the struggles and the challenges—just starting is hard," said Morris. "I definitely want to help other small business owners."
She has a few ideas for how this support might happen, including helping other party businesses start Google Ads campaigns. Morris' ideas are still taking shape—and she's paying attention to what's popular right now.
"I look forward to opening the Exploding Topics newsletter every week. I'm always looking to see what the trends are. I'll explore any trends related to kids, but overall it's just a really helpful resource for anyone. It keeps me on the pulse of what's going on," said Morris. "It's always exciting to see what's trending. For me, as a small business owner, I can say 'well, this is what people are going to search for, maybe this is something I can look into.' That's how I leverage the newsletter."
Party Trend Progress
Despite always keeping an eye on trends, Morris is simply a good judge of what will and will not fit in with her business model. For example, last year, Morris was examining trends around slime and kids' craft workshops. Ultimately, she decided to keep her focus on mobile spa and game experiences.
"I do think that sometimes, as small business owners, we can get shiny object syndrome," said Morris. "Honestly, this year, I've simplified a lot of stuff. We used to offer character add-ons. If someone wanted a princess character to come to the party, we'd offer that. But even though I've scaled that back, I'm always looking to see what else is trending."
Confidence and Creativity
Ultimately, it isn't just Morris' marketing experience and natural business acumen that makes Luxe Gather and Luxe Party Pro successful. Her confidence plays a big part, too.
"The mobile business is something we can scale, and I think it both adds a lot of value and differentiates us," said Morris. "I like the flexibility. And we have goals of being the number one provider of spa buses here in the U.S. Sometimes I'm like, 'can I do that?' But you have to believe in yourself, believe in your idea, and know there's going to be challenges—and you can overcome them."
