If you've logged in recently, you've probably noticed things look slightly different.

The new centralized dashboard serves as the pathway to all key areas of Exploding Topics, bringing it all together in one convenient place.

Starting with a brand new guided onboarding tour for new users, the dashboard leads to the most valuable insights personalized specifically to you.

That includes a selection of relevant trends and topic recommendations based on your history, and direct access to your tracked topics and projects.

The homepage redesign maintains the familiar Exploding Topics design philosophy. If you’re an existing user, the change is natural and immediately easy to adjust.

And if you’re a new user, you’ll have the essential Exploding Topics features unified in a single hub so you can get started right away.

Automate Your Trend Workflows

This one's a big deal for teams that rely on automated workflows for research and planning.

Exploding Topics now has official integrations with two of the biggest no-code automation platforms around, Zapier and n8n.

All you need to do is connect your Exploding Topics API key, and you can pipe trend data directly into the tools you already use every day.

There are quite a few useful automation routines you can build:

• Send freshly updated tracked trends straight to a Slack channel
• Pull topic or product trends matching your criteria into a Notion database
• Feed product trend data into your internal product roadmap

We've reworked the filtering logic behind the TikTok discovery feed to eliminate viral trends that make no sense for your business.

Instead, the algorithm now prioritizes commercial relevance, so the TikTok content maps to engagement with meaningful audience intent.

In short, you’ll see more short-form videos for product or content ideas that actually matter and less of the random memes that happened to blow up that week.

Export Exactly What You See

The Trends Database lets you apply a combination of filters to refine your search for trends that precisely meet your criteria.

But the view you carefully set up didn’t always match your CSV exports.

We fixed the exports so your CSV files exactly mirror your active filters now. That includes stable/volatile filters and channel breakdowns appearing perfectly in spreadsheet formats.

If you have the TikTok Insights add-on, the TikTok engagement data is automatically included in the exported files too.

These changes ensure that your spreadsheets perfectly match the customized view you set up inside the app, reproducing all active filters and additional context without breaking.

Take Your TikTok Data With You

While we’re talking about exports, the TikTok Insights data is no longer just confined to the web app.

There are new CSV export options on both Trending Products and TikTok Insights reports, so you can access this data locally inside your spreadsheets.

So when you need to analyze things deeper, you’re free to slice and dice spreadsheets with full flexibility.

Data Accuracy You Can Trust

Some of our updates may not be immediately obvious, but they make a big difference to the quality of insights you can extract from our data.

We overhauled our trend trajectory classifier system that determines whether a keyword is an accelerating, long-term trend or just a temporary seasonal spike.

As a result, Exploding Topics can categorize trends faster and evaluate volatility more reliably across millions of data points in our database.

We also fine-tuned our commercial data feeds. When you're evaluating a trending product, you can trust it reflects genuine sales volume. And when you're researching a startup, its profile shows up-to-date funding numbers at the moment.

Plus, we upgraded our core server infrastructure with modern security layers and proactive defense systems running quietly behind the scenes. You can rest assured that your account and strategic lists are secure from any threats.

What’s Coming In the Next Quarter

We had a busy Q2, building a better user experience and adding new features so you can analyze trends faster and more accurately.

But we’re not slowing down. Here are a few new changes we’re planning to introduce soon:

• Expanded trend sentiment analysis: We're rolling out LLM-assisted features that read the underlying sentiments constituting raw trend data. Soon you'll see not just how much a trend is growing, but also the finer qualitative aspects like meta trends, market associations, and supporting evidence driving the numbers.
• Tracked trends portfolio aggregation: Rather than viewing solo graphs one at a time, you'll be able to check the consolidated movement of an entire bucket of tracked trends at once. This will massively improve your ability to develop overarching marketing strategies based on aggregate data.
